HR Advisor

As an HR Advisor, you act as a point of contact for managers within your area of responsibility. You advise on a wide range of complex HR issues, balancing legislation and regulations, business interests and people-centred solutions. You take ownership of your advice and improvement initiatives, identify opportunities and risks in good time, and keep the internal client at the heart of your work. By actively seeking collaboration with HR and the business, you contribute to the further development of HR processes, policy and services. In doing so, you clearly distinguish between HR advice and HR expertise.

Your career

• Advising managers on absenteeism, performance, development and employment law issues;

• Managing complex personnel cases and providing support during organisational changes;

• Conducting discussions on terms and conditions of employment and advising on recruitment, career progression and staff turnover;

• Identifying HR risks and translating HR data into concrete recommendations for the business;

• Contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies, processes and improvement initiatives.

Your talents

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel Studies, Personnel & Labour or a comparable field;

• At least 5 years’ relevant experience as an HR Adviser, HR Business Partner or in a comparable advisory role;

• Demonstrable knowledge of Dutch employment law, absence management and personnel issues;

• Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;

• The seniority to advise managers independently, weigh up interests and arrive at solutions that command support.
